This is one of the most exciting things we have been working on in the past couple of years. This is a full plug and play setup for the C5 Corvette to upgrade the ECM electronics to the more desirable GEN IV architecture.
The benefits are as follows:
60-2 resolution for Crank Trigger. This increases the accuracy of the RPM signal going into the ECM over the 24x setup. This allows for a much more precise spark and fuel target signals. Compatible Crank Reluctor (58x) is REQUIRED. It will NOT work with the 24x reluctor. CAN Bus architecture Better Aftermarket Capabilities. Items like CAN Digital Dash Displays, Fuel Pump Triggers, Nitrous Control and others that use CAN Bus data as their main forms of data acquisition and activation. Infinite Outputs Possibilities with Custom Hardware that are more tailored to the newer architectures. Faster Datalogging Better Datalogging Support in Low Voltage Situations Horsepower Increase In our findings the change from a GEN III to a GEN IV Controller yields from 20 to 25whp for the same combination. Better Knock Sensor Strategies Better Gas Mileage Smoother Sounding Engine Improved Idle Characteristics and Controls Retains compatibility with factory Class2 ABS System Retains compatibility with Dash gauges All new Connectors and Wires. There are a few connectors that are very specific and reused. Which requires you sending your old harness back. All engine connectors and wires are brand new and braid loomed. Includes ECM - Pedal and Calibration for a full conversion. EFILive is required for tuning. This will not work with any other tuning product. Lead time is 4-6 weeks after we receive your factory harness.
